In this letter to Ramiro Osorio Fonseca, director of the Colombian Institute of Culture (Instituto Colombiano de Cultura--COLCULTURA), Manuel Zapata Olivella poses the idea of offering a seminar on national identity to teachers and students as a way of reflecting on Colombia's ethnicity and multiculturalism.
