The Sunday supplement of the Colombian newspaper "El espectador" published an excerpt of the opening poem of "Changó, el gran putas" as well as part of the novel's chapter "El dolor de haber nacido negro." The publication also includes a reproduction of an oil painting by Carlos Santacruz.
