In this letter to Marina Lamus, Sub-Gerente Cultural at the Banco de la República, Manuel Zapata Olivella asks for funding from the bank in order to provide a series of cultural and academic activities in different cities in Colombia. Those included: a talk on the Wayuú Indians at the University of La Guajira, in Ríohacha; a talk on George List's work "Música y Poesía en un Pueblo Colombiano" in Cartagena; a lecture to students and the general public in Quibdó about Colombia's multiethnic and multicultural identity; and a talk on the local culture of Nariño to teachers in San Juan de Pasto.
