Manuel Zapata Olivella writes to Colombia's Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores asking for support to disseminate his work around Africa. This memo, titled "Agenda personal para difusión de mi obra literária en África," highlights his contributions to the defense of Colombia's multicultural identity, and asks for financial support to a trip to Africa, where he would look for a location to shoot a film based on his novel "Hemingway, el cazador de la muerte." Zapata Olivella also asks that the Colombian government mediate his conversation with UNESCO regarding the publication of the English version of "Changó, el gran putas."
